Raška District

Raška District is Travelog's home for Studenica Monastery, inscribed by UNESCO in 1986 under criteria (i), (ii), (iv), and (vi), a genuinely rare four-criteria recognition, founded in the late 12th century by Stevan Nemanja, the actual founder of the medieval Serbian state, and standing today as the largest and richest of Serbia's Orthodox monasteries.
