Germany is live on Travelog with all three of its planned cities. Berlin's Museum Island has carried UNESCO status since 1999. Munich is the practical gateway to the Palaces of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, inscribed in July 2025 as Germany's 55th, and one of its newest, World Heritage Sites. Frankfurt carries no UNESCO listing of its own, grounded instead in the genuine, centuries-old Kaiserdom and Romerberg square.

All three of Germany's planned cities are now live. Berlin's Museum Island is the most established of the three, UNESCO-listed since 1999 but currently missing one of its five museums, the Pergamon, closed for renovation until spring 2027. Munich connects to the newest addition to this entire guide: the Palaces of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, inscribed in July 2025, with Neuschwanstein as the best-known of the four. Frankfurt follows the same honest, additive approach already used for Greece's Santorini and Turkey's Antalya: no UNESCO listing of its own, but a genuine, centuries-documented history at the Kaiserdom and Romerberg, sitting today in direct view of the city's modern financial skyline.
