Albania is live on Travelog with one city, Berat, whose castle-topped historic centre was added to UNESCO's Historic Centres of Berat and Gjirokastra listing in 2008, three years after Gjirokastër's own 2005 inscription. Berat Castle remains free to enter and genuinely inhabited today, home to the Onufri National Iconographic Museum and its distinctive pigment known as Onufri's Red.

Berat's UNESCO story is genuinely a sequel, added as an extension three years after Gjirokastër's own 2005 listing, and its castle remains a genuine, lived-in neighborhood today, not a fenced-off ruin. Its landmark page is live now.
